FBLD 2025 – call for presentations. The majority of the conference program is selected from submitted abstracts. We will be opening abstract submission in early 2025.
Travel bursaries
We provide travel bursaries to assist eligible graduate students to attend the FBLD 2025 conference. The amount allocated to each travel grant will be proportional to the distance travelled. The bursary will only cover travel expenses, but not registration fees.
Eligibility criteria:
• must be a graduate student
• must either present a poster or give a talk
Applications:
• 250-word statement on how the bursary will assist your attendance at the conference
• submit statement together with abstract in one document via the submission form.
Abstract submissions for oral presentations are closed for now.

Submissions.
Please use the 2025 abstract submission template accessed by clicking the button below.
Copy-paste your text into the provided document, and maintain the indicated formatting.
Abstracts must not exceed one page in length and 2 MB in file size, and must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document.
Oral presentation.
If you wish to be considered for an oral presentation please indicate your preference on your abstract submission using the template provided.
Posters.
Abstracts not selected for an oral presentation will be offered a poster opportunity. Presenters may also submit abstracts solely as a poster.
Poster formatting.
Posters should be no larger than A0 (84cm wide × 119cm high) in portrait or landscape orientation.
